The West Hollywood City Council unanimously approved a symbolic, non-binding resolution calling for the impeachment of President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney, the first So Cal city council.

LANIC  meeting held on 07.14.07. The second meeting with volunteers at Los Angeles National Impeachment Center.  Cindy Sheehan has thrown gauntlet to Nancy Pelosi - 23 July 2007. Bill Moyers Journal Talk of Impeachment program. Suggestion of local activitism for the 23rd July drop dead date for Nancy Pelosi to put H Res 833 on Congressional Calendar. Example of local activity could be- rallies @ public areas or rallies in front of local congress people office (Congressman Waxman) to put pressure of Pelosi to meet the 23rd date to support H Res 833.

July 2007 Focus of LANIC volunteers : H Res 833 vote banking, letter writing, and petitioning. West Hollywood looks like it will be the first City Council to pass a City Impeachment Resolution for both President Bush & VP Cheney. Santa Monica City Council impeachment supporter is McKeown. Los Angeles City Council impeachment supporter is Bill Rosenthal.

LANIC'S July 4th Impeachment PICNIC photo at La Cienega Park had over 500 pro-Impeachment activists in attendance. 

Note:  We had over 80 volunteers in L.A. at our July 7th volunteer session from 2 - 6 pm! We placed over 300 phone calls and sent out over 60 letters. Congresswoman Maxine Waters and former State Assemblywoman Jackie Goldberg were among the keynote speakers at the July 4th press conference inauguration of the L.A.  National Impeachment Center (LANIC) and at the La Cienega Park picnic.
